Dengue Fever

Well here it is, the one thing that I worried about. You know what they say, Be careful what you obsess over. Ok they don't really say it that way, but I can't remember exactly how it goes.

I guess I better stop worrying that I might lose one of the kids.

8 days with a high fever, 5 days straight with no food, 5 days in the hospital and 10 pounds lighter.

Dengue Fever was not a pretty sight, but at least it was not malaria.

lorenzo was a trouper, a very serious trouper, but a trouper non the less. I think he cracked a smile only once the entire time he was in the hospital, was it the time I had to spoon feed him, no, it was the time I whipped him in UNO, and he still owes me a foot massage for that!

So glad it all worked out okay, and we have him home with us, I am certain he is also very pleased, as him and his brothers have not stopped chatting yet.

Bien aquí es, la unica cosa en que yo me preocupaba. Usted sabe lo que ellos dicen, Ten cuidado lo que usted se obsesiona. Bueno ellos no lo dicen realmente así, pero yo no puedo recordar exactamente cómo va. Quizas sera mejor que paro de preocupar que yo voy a pierder uno de los niños. 8 días con una fiebre alta, 5 días sin comer, 5 días en el hospital y 10 libras menos. Gracias Sr. El mosquito, no! La Fiebre del dengue no fue una vista bonita, pero por lo menos no fue malaria. Lorenzo fue un campeon, un campeon muy serio, pero un campeon. ¡Pienso que él agrietó una sonrisa sólo una vez el tiempo entero que él estuvo en el hospital, fue el tiempo yo le tuve que dar de comer?, no, fue el tiempo que yo lo azoté en UNO, y que él todavía me debe un masaje de los pies para eso!
