Taking the Train/ Montando el Tren

We were told by several people. " do NOT take the trains" even the locals told us not to. But of course, to us, that only translates as, "Take the train". So, we did. Plus how can you visit India without a ride on a train once or twice.
How do I even begin to describe the experience of taking the train in India. Exciting, wild, dangerous, unique. Hundreds of people trying to squeeze in and out of a 15 ft car at the same time, with only about 30 seconds to do so before the train actually takes off again. No one blows a whistle, no one looks to see if everyone is safely on or off, and there are no doors. If you do not plan on getting off the train you better hold on for your life because you will be shoved out the door, and shoved is not an exaggeration. I was literally pushed so hard off the train I nearly landed on my knees. To get on you are also pushing and shoving as hard as you can for fear that the train will depart without you, or worse with only half of you. Now try to manage all this with 6 small children!!@#!!!! I am unsure how we managed, but by the Grace of God. Yes we will do it again. :)

Fuimos avisados por varias personas. "No te montas en el tren" por los locales tambien. Pero por supuesto, a nosotros, sólo nos traduce como, "Monta el tren". Así, hicimos. Más, cómo puedes visitar India sin un paseo en un tren un par de veces? Cómo comienzo aún a describir la experiencia de tomar el tren en India. Emocionante, salvaje, peligroso, extraordinario. Cientos de personas que tratan de entrar y salir de un carro de 4 metros y medio al mismo tiempo, con sólo aproximadamente 30 segundos de hacer así antes que el tren empiece a andar otra vez. Nadie sopla un silbido, nadie mira para ver si todos estan sin peligro, y no hay puertas. Si usted no planea a bajar del tren, debes aguantar mejor posible para su vida porque usted será empujado fuera de la puerta, y empujado no es una exageración. Fui empujado fuera literalmente tan duramente que yo casi aterrizé de rodillas. Para montarse al tren también tienes que empujar y empujar muy fuerte por el temor de que el tren partirá sin usted, o peor con sólo mitad de usted. ¡Ahora trate de manejar todo esto con 6 pequeños niños! !@#!!!! Soy inseguro cómo manejamos, pero por la Gracia de Dios. Sí, nosotros lo haremos otra vez. :)
