Nasik, The Godavari river

We decided to take a journey by car to Aurangabd by way of Nasik. Nasik stand on the Godvari river, one of India's holiest rivers. Nasik is the kind of town where you can't walk more than a couple of steps without tripping over yet another exotic temple or colorful bathing ghat. Nasik also serves as a base for pilgrims visiting trimbak and Shirdi, birth place of the original Sai Baba. And every 12 years Nasik plays host to Kumbh Mela, the largest religious gathering on earth.
The colors and sights and sound of Nasik are numbing. All around you there is constantly something happening to catch your attention. From cows to camels, from children running through the streets naked to beautiful women dressed in the most vivid colors. Fresh coconuts ready for you to drink and samosas calling your name on every corner. The temples themselves are all unique and each one not only houses it's own specific God, but has it's own style and flair. I know that we have more photos of people and places than we have of our selves, but it is just so much more interesting to look at them than it is to look at us. :)

Decidimos tomar un viaje en coche a Aurangabd por manera de Nasik. Nasik se para en el río de Godvari, uno de ríos más santos de India. Nasik es la clase del pueblo donde usted no puede andar más que un par de pasos sin tropezar sobre mas de un templo exótico ni un baño sagrado. Nasik también sirve como una base para peregrinos que visitan trimbak y Shirdi, el lugar del nacimiento de la original Sai Baba. Y cada 12 juegos de años Nasik acogen a Kumbh Mela, la reunión religiosa más grande en la tierra. Los colores y las vistas y el sonido de Nasik entumecen. Por todas partes usted hay constantemente algo sucediendo coger su atención. De vacas a camellos, de niños que corren por las calles desnudas a hermosas mujeres vestidas en los colores muy vívidos. Los cocos frescos se preparan para usted beber y samosas que llama su nombre en cada rincón. Los templos sí mismos son todo extraordinario y cada uno no sólo lo alberga es propio Dios específico, pero lo que tienen es propio estilo y el don. Sé que tenemos más fotos de personas y lugares que tenemos de nuestros seres, pero somos es mucho más interesantes mirarlos que es de mirarnos. :)
